JUSTIFICATION

Romans 5:1
Therefore, having been justified by faith… (NKJV)

Justification is the act of God whereby He forgives the unsaved persons sin and assigns to them the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:1-2
Therefore, having been justified by faith,we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (NKJV)

Romans 5:2
rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (NKJV)
 
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (NKJV)

Ephesians 2:4-7

Ephesians 3:17-19

Romans 5:3
And not only that… (NKJV)

but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
 

REASONS TO REJOICE

Tribulation produces perseverance

James 1:2-3
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. (NKJV)

Perseverance produces character
 
Romans 5:4
and perseverance, character; (NKJV)

1 Peter 1:6-7
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, (NKJV)

James 1:4
But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (NKJV)

Character produces hope
 
Romans 5:3-4
We also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. (NKJV)

Job 23:10
But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold. (NKJV)

2 Corinthians 4:16-17
Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, (NKJV)

Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (NKJV)

Hope produces rejoicing

Romans 5:5
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (NKJV)
